Hematologist/Oncologist

Avera is seeking a dedicated physician to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients. This role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on compassionate patient care and health advancement. The physician will contribute to moving health forward for both patients and the community within the Avera Pierre Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice

• Provide medical services and health education to patients and family members

• Perform necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures

• Interpret information gathered during the diagnostic process and formulate appropriate plan of care

• Provide quality care for patients, demonstrating appropriate health, safety, and aseptic practices

• Recognize and react appropriately to environmental safety factors related to patient care

• Meet regularly with the care team for consultation and collaboration

• Maintain patient records and accurate information

Requirements

• Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state that services are provided and board certified or board eligible Upon Hire

• Doctor of Osteopathy - Board of Medicine Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state that services are provided and board certified or board eligible Upon Hire

• Federal Drug Enforcement Admin - US Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Admin State and federal DEA license based on state of practice Upon Hire
