Hematologist/Oncologist

University Medical Partners is seeking a full-time BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to join their clinics in Pleasanton, Castro Valley, and San Jose. The role offers the opportunity to provide general hematology and oncology care within a collaborative community-based practice model partnered with Stanford Medicine. Practice Info

• Community-based practice; general hematology/oncology

• Clinic location consists of 20 providers (3 Medical Oncologists, 7 APPs, 10 Nurses) in Tri-Valley

• Fifteen (15) Infusion chairs on-site in Tri-Valley

• Cancer Center South Bay offers comprehensive cancer services

• Joining nine (9) other Hematology/Oncology physicians in clinic in South Bay

• On-site infusion center and lab with advanced imaging

• Radiation therapy center and surgery center on-site

• EPIC Electronic Medical Records

Responsibilities

• Physician sees an average of 18 patients per day in the outpatient clinic in Tri-Valley

• Inpatient rounds at Stanford ValleyCare Medical Center, Eden Medical Center, and St. Rose Hospital

• Approximately 1-4 new inpatient consults per call day, on average

• Physicians see an average of 18-25 patients per day in clinic in South Bay

• Participation in Tumor Boards and collaboration on clinical research with Stanford University School of Medicine Faculty physicians

Compensation

• Competitive compensation package

• 2-year base salary guarantee up to $475,000

• Quarterly wRVU Productivity Incentive Bonus (based on productivity)

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time is 36 patient contact hours

• Shared Call Schedule - 1:5

• On call for hospitalized UHA patients only

• Includes Q9 rotating coverage of inpatient consultation services at three (3) local hospitals: Good Samaritan Hospital, O'Connor Hospital, and El Camino (Los Gatos) Hospital
