Hematologist/Medical Oncologist

Essentia Health is seeking a dedicated Hematologist/Medical Oncologist to join their esteemed HEM/ONC team in Fargo, ND. This role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional cancer care in a supportive and collaborative environment, working alongside a comprehensive team of specialists. The position emphasizes advanced care delivery, research, and innovation, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and accredited programs.

Practice Info

• Work alongside a caring and attentive team, including nutrition support, a social worker, nurse navigators, behavioral therapists, certified cancer care physical therapists and lymphedema specialists

• Access to Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology, Genetic Counseling and Palliative Care

• Participate in Multidisciplinary Tumor Board Conferences

• Utilize telemedicine/TCON/Virtual Visits and community cancer centers

• Benefit from our NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) grant, providing access to cutting-edge clinical trials

• Our program is recognized as an Integrated Network Cancer Center Program (INCP) accreditation by the Commission on Cancer and we hold a certification from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) accredited by the American College of Surgeons

Responsibilities

• Manage an average of 10-12 follow-up visits and 2-4 new patients per day

• Provide care one day per week/month (depending on the week) to clinics in Jamestown, ND; Lisbon, ND; Wahpeton ND; Detroit Lakes, MN; Park Rapids, MN and Fosston, MN

Compensation

• $535,000

• Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation

Shift & Schedule

• Consultative Call Only: Hospitalists handle admissions and overnight coverage

• Approximately 8-10 days of call per month

• Day Rotation

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Medical Oncology

• Experience as a Hematology/Oncology Physician
