Hematologist-Medical Oncologist

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a dedicated Hematologist-Medical Oncologist to join their established team in Oneonta and Cooperstown, New York. This role offers the opportunity to practice within a progressive, academic health system and a comprehensive community cancer center featuring a collaborative, multidisciplinary model. Providers will work with an established group of physicians and advanced practice clinicians while benefiting from robust clinical support resources. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified J-1 and H-1B candidates.

• Located in Oneonta, NY and Cooperstown, NY

• The Bassett Regional Cancer Program has been continuously accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center since 1947 and the American Society of Clinical Oncology since 2021

• Member of the ECOG-ACRIN with close to 30 years of participation in NCI and sponsored clinical trials

• Collaborative and multidisciplinary model, which includes onsite Radiation Oncologists, Surgical Oncologists, Pathologists and Radiologists, including an active weekly tumor board

• Comprehensive support team that includes Nurse Navigators, Social Workers, Financial Counselors, a Nutritionist and Palliative Care Practitioners

• The Bassett Medical Group is multispecialty with over 500 practitioners

Compensation

• Salary Range: $625,000 - $708,000 based on a 4 day work week

• Incentive plan with no earnings cap

• Sign-on Bonus up to $200,000

• Fellowship stipend up to $60,000 available up to 18 months prior to graduation

Requirements

• MD, DO or MBBS

• Board Eligible or Board Certified

• NYS Licensure

• BLS Certification Required

• DEA Required
