Hematologist

Hoag Health, Orange County's top-ranked healthcare system, is seeking a Board Certified Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join their expanding program, focusing on Hematology patients. This role offers the opportunity to work within Hoag's multidisciplinary team of experts, providing advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment options. Practice Info

• The Hoag Family Cancer Institute has two primary campuses in Newport Beach and Irvine, CA, including a new dedicated Cancer hospital opening in Irvine in Summer 2026.

• Clinic locations are in Newport Beach, Irvine, and Huntington Beach, CA.

• Dedicated support staff and administrative support, including APPs, MAs, front office, schedulers, and clinic administrators.

• Hoag participates in clinical trials, with opportunities for physician participation.

Responsibilities

• Treating all Hematology patients (classical and malignant)

• Participate in clinical trials

Shift & Schedule

• Full time position

• Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Requirements

• Must have or be eligible for California State Medical licensure

• Doctor of Medicine Degree and American Board Certified in Oncology and Fellowship trained in Hematology Oncology

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a medical oncologist specializing in Hematology

• Must be well versed in the latest clinical research of state of cancer care for Hematology

• Active as a principal investigator in all phases of clinical research for Hematology

• A passion for providing excellent clinical care and excellent communication skills and interest in working in a collaborative / team-oriented environment are a must

• Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Hoag Hospital
