Job Description
The CU Anschutz Division of Medical Oncology is seeking a full-time Hematologist to provide comprehensive care in a multidisciplinary setting. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient care, primarily at Highlands Ranch Medical Center, with some cross-coverage at Lone Tree and Cherry Creek Medical Centers. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality, accessible hematology and oncology care, including malignant and benign hematology, within a community setting that offers cutting-edge technology and clinical trials.
Practice Info
• Primary site of practice will be Highlands Ranch Medical Center (both inpatient and outpatient) with some cross coverage of Lone Tree Medical Center and possibly Cherry Creek Medical Center
• Inpatient rounding 2-4 days per week at Highlands Ranch Hospital with assistance from an APP
• Focus primarily on hematology, including both malignant and benign hematology
• Highlands Ranch Medical Center is a multispecialty building and offers an on-site infusion center, blood bank, diagnostic laboratory, radiology services (including MRI, CT and PET/CT), a breast center, and multiple specialties including radiation oncology, surgery (general, ENT, breast, urologic, plastics), and gastroenterology (with endoscopy suites)
• Connected to a 93-bed hospital and admit oncology patients with the help of a hospitalist team
• Hope to build a strong relationship with the Anschutz Medical Campus Division of Hematology to help facilitate clinical trials
Responsibilities
• Clinical work seeing patients daily
• Covering the infusion center on a rotating basis during clinic days
• Working with Hematology/Oncology APPs (NPs or PAs) in clinic
• 1:6 call coverage for community practice patients and Highlands Ranch Hospital; approximately 8-9 weeks of call per year
• Work with Service Line Director to expand the hematology practice
• Attend Multi-Departmental Clinics & CME conferences regularly; Attend oncology service line meetings; clinical trial meetings
• Assist with investigator-initiated, cooperative group/industry trials
• Lead and participate in clinical quality improvement projects including management of critical pathway & case management across the continuum of care
Compensation
• HIRING RANGE: Assistant Professor: $350,000 to $400,000
• Associate Professor: $400,000 to $500,000
• Employer contributes 10% of your gross pay to a Retirement 401(a) Plan

Requirements
• Licensed MD or DO from accredited Institution
• Board certified in Oncology or Hematology
• Associate Professor: 4-8+ years' experience in Community setting in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
• Preferred: Assistant Professor: 1 or more years' experience in Community setting in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
• Outstanding customer service skills
