Job Description
About Companian
Companian is building the wellness companion for older adults. We pair advocates that are supported by AI with seniors — coordinating care, navigating the healthcare system, and keeping families in the loop.
The U.S. healthcare system leaves older adults and their families to figure out the hard parts alone, and primary care practices aren't financially set up to fill the gap. Companian fills it.
We're early, moving fast, and building something that genuinely improves how older adults age in place.
About the Role
As a Healthcare Sales Representative at Companian, you'll be the person opening doors across South Florida. Companian is doctor-gated by design — seniors come to us through their physicians — which makes you the front of the entire business. You'll build and own relationships with geriatricians, primary care practices, and their office staff, and turn those relationships into a steady flow of enrolled members.
If you've worked in home health, you already know this territory: the same geriatricians, the same office managers, the same gatekeepers. That network is exactly what lets you ramp in weeks instead of quarters. The difference is what you're bringing them — a Medicare-covered care coordination program that takes work off their plate.
Focus Territory: Miami Dade and Broward.
What You'll Do
- Own the South Florida territory end to end — build the target list, work it, and close it.
- Call on geriatricians, primary care practices, and specialty groups: in-person visits, lunch-and-learns, and the follow-up that actually moves a practice from "interesting" to referring.
- Get past the front desk and build real relationships with office managers, referral coordinators, and practice administrators — the people who decide whether a program actually gets used.
- Explain the clinical and financial case to physicians: how Companian supports their patients between visits, what it takes off their staff, and how the Medicare care-management codes work.
- Activate accounts, not just sign them. Stay close to referring practices so referral volume grows month over month.
- Keep your pipeline clean and current in our CRM, and report honestly on what's working and what isn't.
- Provide fearless feedback to the founding team. You'll directly shape how we sell and scale in Florida.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in home health, hospice, skilled nursing, or a similar physician-referral sales role — with an existing network of geriatricians and primary care practices in South Florida.
- A track record of hitting quota in a field sales role where the referral source, not the patient, is the buyer.
- Working knowledge of Medicare and how senior care gets paid for — enough to hold a credible conversation with a physician.
- Comfort with the daily grind of field sales: you're in cars and waiting rooms, not on Zoom.
- Strong judgment and autonomy in an early-stage, ambiguous environment. There's no playbook yet — you'll help write it.
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current or recent sales/commercial home health experience in South Florida,
or
- Experience selling a care coordination, CCM/RPM, or value-based care program to physician practices.
- Candidates with both are preferred.
- Connections with +50 practices.
