Role Description

The Health Physicist is a full-time, on-site role based in Dover, FL. The primary role will be to serve as radiation safety officer (RSO) to clients. This will include performing radiation surveys, exposure assessments, and compliance inspections at client facilities, as well as supporting the design and implementation of radiation protection programs. Day-to-day tasks include designing and evaluating shielding for facilities, equipment evaluations, reviewing dosimetry data, and preparing technical reports. The role requires regular interaction with clients, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and apply radiation safety regulations and standards.

Qualifications
• Certificate in Health Physics, with ability to receive MHP license in Florida.
• 3 + years experience as RSO at hospitals
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (e.g., NRC, state radiation control rules) and experience with radiation safety programs.
• Ability to prepare clear technical reports, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to trave within Florida as needed.
