Job Description
Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) is seeking a fellowship-trained Head and Neck Surgical Oncologist to join its growing faculty. This role offers the opportunity to build a practice within a state-of-the-art facility, leveraging a full robotics suite and a multidisciplinary team. The selected physician will contribute to BMDACC's mission of providing comprehensive, integrated cancer care in Northeast Florida.
Practice Info
• Join a uniquely specialized, multidisciplinary team integrating surgery, medical and radiation oncology, pathology, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, genetic counseling, speech pathology, psychology, dedicated patient-care nurse navigators and wellness/survivorship programs.
• The new 9-story, 330,000 square foot Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center incorporates state-of-the-art design, construction, technology, and art to create a patient-centered facility.
• The center is dedicated solely to providing the full spectrum of oncology care in a healing environment for patients and their families.
• The team is seeking full-time, energetic and compassionate individuals for both inpatient and outpatient care.
• BMDACC is the third partner member of the MD Anderson Cancer Network® and the Southeastern United States’ patient care hub serving the institution’s international program.
Responsibilities
• Fully support the clinical, scholarly, and educational missions of our Cancer Center and our System.
• Build an active clinical practice.
• Develop areas of productive scholarship.
• Recruit additional faculty.
• Collaborate in national initiatives and scholarly activities with the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and its Department of Head and Neck Surgery.
• Influence the future direction of our program.
Compensation
• Bonuses Offered: Sign-on, Stipend, Retention, Quality, Starting, Relocation, Productivity, Negotiable.
Requirements
• Completed an accredited fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery with Free-Flap Reconstruction, and/or additional experience in skull base procedures.
• Certified, or eligible for certification, by the American Board of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.
• Eligible for an unrestricted Florida Medical License.
• Demonstrate commitment to a multidisciplinary integrated model of cancer care.
• Display the communication, interpersonal skills, collaboration, and passion required to build an active clinical practice, develop areas of productive scholarship, and recruit additional faculty.
• Be recommended for Adjunct Appointment at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center commensurate with their clinical and academic achievements.
• An experienced or mid-career candidate is desired.
• No visa sponsorship available.
