Job Description
Piedmont Healthcare offers an exciting opportunity for a Fellowship-trained Gynecologic Oncologist to join our distinguished Oncology program and establish a practice at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA. This role presents a chance to work with a team of 5 Gynecologic Oncologists and contribute to the ongoing expansion of our specialty across Georgia.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter from a top-tier Fellowship program, eager to grow a practice while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. We welcome board-certified or board-eligible applicants who are dedicated to excellence in their field. Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct consultations and evaluations of patients
• Recommend and perform appropriate surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and robotic surgeries
• Develop and oversee comprehensive oncology treatment plans, encompassing chemotherapy, radiation, and palliative care
• Engage in community education initiatives and support networks for cancer survivors
• Perform hospital rounds, addressing inpatient care in surgical units and intensive care units
• Communicate changes in patient conditions to physicians and coordinate care effectively
• Collaborate with nursing staff, pharmacy, radiology, and other service lines within the hospital
• Respond to ER calls
• Conduct Health & Physicals (H&Ps), consultations, and document progress notes for inpatients
