Job Description
Exciting Pathologist Position Available!
Join our dynamic team as we expand our pathology department! We're looking for a dedicated pathologist to collaborate with another full-time physician, providing essential laboratory leadership and comprehensive pathology services.
Position Overview:
• Specialty: Pathology
• Case Mix / Volume: Inpatient volumes slightly lower than outpatient
• Operational Expectation: Efficient workflows to ensure around-the-clock diagnostic turnaround
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Laboratory Systems: APLIS (WSI platform)
• Services: In-house molecular pathology and advanced testing capabilities
• Clinical Collaboration: Engage closely with surgeons and oncologists; participate in tumor boards
• Technology: Whole slide scanners and telepathology platforms
• Call: Shared pathology call rotation
• Reporting to: Dr. Wedel (Medical Director) and Terri Brown (Director)
Requirements:
• MD or equivalent
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
• Eligible for Nebraska medical licensure (or active eligibility)
Compensation & Incentives:
• Annual salary starting at $400K+
• Performance-based productivity bonuses available
