Summary

The Financial Administrator is responsible for providing analysis and business consulting services to support assigned clinical departments (ambulatory clinics, hospital ancillary services, inpatient nursing units, perioperative areas and/or Moffitt Medical Group Operations). Business consulting services are provided for ongoing operations as well as new products and services, often in collaboration with Strategic Planning, Corporate Business Development, and Partnership services. Collaborates with administrative and clinical staff to identify opportunities to redesign processes to reduce costs and/or maximize revenue, while complying with payer and regulatory guidelines. Acts as a financial advisor to assigned areas. Interprets information from reports and other sources (which person in the role may have developed) and advises his/her customers of the meaning and impact of the information to the department and related strategies.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience with planning, budgeting, productivity and forecasting systems. Experience in financial analysis in a healthcare setting (Practice Management, Physician productivity data, billing data, nursing staffing analysis).
• Ability to create complex financial models with multiple variables and assumptions.
• Ability to think independently and demonstrate appropriate professional maturity to substantiate and discuss opinions and interpretations.
• Ability to demonstrate effective functional knowledge of departments he/she supports.
• Ability to make recommendations based on information available.
• Ability to effectively communicate and maintain credibility with all levels within the organization.
• Effective presentation skills.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance

Licensure Required: CPA

• In lieu of CPA, a Master's degree in related field or an additional 3 years of experience for a total of 10 years may be accepted.

Experience Required: D

• Seven (7) years experience in financial analysis, healthcare finance or business administration.
• **In lieu of CPA, a Mater's degree in related field or an additional three (3) years of experience in health care financial analytics support roles, including healthcare financial analysis, decision support, planning and health care economics for a total of ten (10) may be considered.

Additional Skills/ Specialized Training Required

• Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated competency of Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting procedures.
• Strong quantitative, analytic and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills and the ability to interact with management.
• Ability to react quickly to change.

Salary Range

$78,990.60 - $120,351.40

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
