Join Us in Shaping the Future of Healthcare
The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TPMG) is among the largest and most respected medical groups in the country, known for over 80 years of delivering top-notch medical care to a diverse patient community.
We are actively seeking two dedicated fellowship-trained Renal Pathologists to enhance our newly developed renal pathology program, which is set to launch in mid-2026. This role offers a unique clinical experience with extensive collaboration with more than 90 nephrologists, serving a wide-ranging patient demographic across our medical facilities. You will handle a substantial number of cases, including 800 native kidney biopsies and 300 transplant biopsies each year. Responsibilities will include sign-out duties for cases encompassing light microscopy and immunofluorescence, with outsourced Electron Microscopy. An opportunity for a reduced schedule is also available.
Highlights of this position include:
• Seamless integration through a unified electronic health record system.
• Engagement in a dedicated weekly multi-disciplinary glomerular disease board.
• Participation in renal pathology education and clinicopathologic case conferences, enriching your professional development.
Essential Qualifications:
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
• Eligibility for a California medical license or current licensure in California.
Why Join TPMG?
• Advanced AI-based charting and an exceptional electronic medical record system that enhances patient management.
• A practice that prioritizes work-life balance, offering flexible schedules and unrivaled practice support.
• Focus primarily on providing outstanding patient care without the burden of managing overhead or billing—no RVUs involved.
• A physician-led environment that fosters leadership development.
Amazing Benefits Await You:
• Competitive compensation with comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
• Northern California Home Loan Program – access up to $250,000 interest-free for the first 10 years, with no payments until the end of this period.
• Moving allowance directly paid by TPMG, up to $10,000.
• Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
• Malpractice and tail insurance coverage.
• Generous paid holidays, sick leave, and educational leave, with paid time off for Board Certification exam preparation.
• Annual education stipend, reimbursement for board examination fees, and new California Medical License fees.
• Pathway to shareholding status.
• Life insurance and optional long-term care insurance.
• Three retirement plans, including a pension plan and a 401(k).
If you are seeking a fulfilling opportunity to advance your career and make a real impact, consider joining The Permanente Medical Group. We are an equal opportunity employer and a VEVRAA federal contractor.
