Job Description
Provide support in the field and office to assist with environmental investigations, remediation, litigation, and geophysics projects by completing tasks to provide high-quality deliverables and outcomes for our client base using principles of geology, environmental science, hydrogeology, and engineering.





Position Overview
MUNDELL is seeking an individual who is team focused, accountable, self-motivated, responsive, adaptable, and an effective communicator. MUNDELL works on a variety of projects including environmental investigations, remedial design and maintenance, water resources, geophysics, litigation, and other hydrogeological focused projects. This position will play a key role in various projects by completing field and office activities including site assessments, compliance monitoring, reporting, data collection and analysis, and remedial design; assisting with project management activities; and helping to assess and improve the environmental impact of various projects. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while developing technical and project management experience through contributing to a variety of different projects in the environmental consulting industry.





Responsibilities

- Fieldwork and Data Collection: Conduct field activities including sampling (water/soil/air), site investigations, remedial activities, monitoring well installations, geophysical surveys, and oversight of sub-contractors. Properly maintain and store field equipment.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare technical documents and reports. Maintain organized records of field notes, laboratory data, and project files to ensure complete documentation of all activities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations by supporting the reporting and permitting process and adhering to established standards.
- Collaboration and Team Support: Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Project Management and Coordination: Support project managers with scope development, work plans, health and safety plans, and work scheduling.
- Meet company billable and operational goals.




Requirements

- B.S. degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or geophysics from an accredited university.

- Zero (0) to four (4) years of environmental consulting experience. An advanced degree in lieu of experience will be considered. The preferred candidate will desire to obtain professional licensure (e.g. LPG, CHMM, PE).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Strong computer skills, including proficiency in or the ability to learn industry-standard software.
- Experience with or ability to learn environmental investigation methods and reporting.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, with an ability to prepare clear and concise technical reports.
- The ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
- Highly detail orientated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Acquire and maintain 40-HAZWOPER training with yearly 8-Hour refresher.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- The ability to travel (up to 80%) to project sites, overnight and weekend work may be required at times.
- The ability to work in all outdoor conditions (cold, snow, rain, heat, etc.), and lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
