Essential Functions:

• ** Completion of required training process/programs for Medical Dosimetrist as defined by Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) Required.
• * Experience:
• ** 3 or more years of dosimetry experience in a progressive radiation oncology clinic.

Certifications:
• ** Medical Dosimetry Cert BOA (MDCB) required at hire.
• Integrative Agitation Management (IAMTAC) Required within 30 days of hire

Skills:
• ** Ability to accurately follow instructions; work professionally with or without supervision.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, physicians and staff.
• Knowledge of dosimetry practice.
• Ability to evaluate treatments plans for clinical value.
• Ability to evaluate treatment plans acceptable in clinical situations.
• Knowledge of dosimetry concepts, analysis of data and quality control of dosimetry calculations.
• Ability to coordinate essential activities in workflow for radiation therapy treatments.
• Knowledge of technical procedures in the department and the ability to carry out procedures in an accurate, safe and efficient manner.
• Able to follow instruction and documented procedures in performing tasks on the computer workstations in an accurate, safe and efficient manner.
• Knowledge comparable to college-level introduction courses in: anatomy, physiology, universal precautions, sterile procedure, occupational/radiation safety, mathematics, physics and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate treatment equipment.
• Familiarization with current theory and practice and new developments in radiation therapy and dosimetry.
• Strong organizational skills.
