Job Description
Thomas Jefferson University Health System (TJUH) and the Sidney Kimmel Medical College (SKCC) in Philadelphia are seeking a Division Chief of Neuro-Oncology at the associate professor or professor rank. This leadership role involves developing and executing the enterprise strategy for Neuro-Oncology care across the health system, enhancing clinical trial accruals, and contributing to strategic planning for the Departments of Neurosurgery and Neurology. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding the departments' influence throughout the Delaware Valley.

Responsibilities
• Provide strategic leadership over Neuro-Oncology.
• Assist in identifying potential partners and building collaborative relationships centered on cancer with community oncology practices, hospitals, and systems.
• Set goals for growth, referrals, and increased volume.
• Contribute to strategic planning, goal implementation, and evaluation as part of the Departments of Neurosurgery and Neurology.
• Assist Network leaders in development of SKCC's multi-state clinical trials network.
• Develop a Neuro-Oncology Fellowship Program under the auspices of the Department of Neurosurgery Chair.
• Assist with developing/standardizing, monitoring, improving and maintaining the standards of medical care delivered by the Division of Neuro-Oncology providers.
• Participate in utilization review, compliance, and performance improvement activities related to Neuro-Oncology.

Requirements
• Neuro-Oncology fellowship training and/or an established record of excellence in Neuro-Oncology.
• American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology board certification or eligibility.
• United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties certification or eligibility in Neuro-Oncology.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in successfully managing and mentoring physicians and other caregivers.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient access and patient satisfaction.
• Record of providing excellent clinical care.
• Academic credentials that will qualify for an academic appointment in the department of surgery.
• Demonstrated experience as a clinical educator as well as scholarship experience.
• Ability to obtain a medical license in the Commonwealth of PA prior to start date.
