Job Description
Position Title
Distinguished Scientist (Executive Director) – Oncology Global Clinical Development (PDT Lead)
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute clinical development strategies for investigational and marketed oncology and gastrointestinal (GI) cancer agents.
• Plan and design clinical trials, including operational plans and settings.
• Initiate, monitor, and manage ongoing or new clinical trials for investigational or marketed agents.
• Analyze and summarize clinical findings to support safety and efficacy decisions, new drug applications, clinical study reports, and publications.
• Enter into and maintain collaborations with external researchers and key opinion leaders worldwide.
• Provide internal scientific leadership across cross‑functional teams (regulatory, statistics, medical affairs, manufacturing, commercialization).
• Manage directors and senior directors responsible for oncology global clinical development projects.
• Supervise activities of the full clinical team in executing clinical studies.
• Maintain a strong knowledge base by staying current on scientific developments, identifying qualified investigators, and attending relevant scientific meetings.
• Author detailed development documents, presentations, budgets, and position papers for internal and external audiences.
• Travel on company business about 20‑25% of the time to manage future or ongoing clinical research projects.
Qualifications
• Education: MD or MD/PhD.
• Required Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical medicine experience and 5 years of industry experience in drug development, specifically in GI cancers.
• Proven record of scientific scholarship and achievement.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function effectively in a team environment.
• Skills: Clinical Development, Clinical Trials and Monitoring, Cross‑Functional Teamwork, Drug Development, Gastrointestinal Cancer, Leading Project Teams, Oncology Trials, Research Methodologies, Results‑Oriented, Scientific Leadership, Strategic Leadership.
• Preferred: Board Certified or Eligible in Oncology (and/or Hematology) and prior publication experience.

Compensation
Salary range: $310,900.00 – $489,400.00. Eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
Travel
Travel required: approximately 20‑25% of the time.
