Job Description
Hybrid Role in the Denver-Metro Area
Full-Time Senior Consulting & Business Development
Description:
C-Shift Consulting partners with leading organizations to solve complex business, organizational, and people challenges. We are looking for an experienced Director of Strategic Partnerships who brings together senior-level consulting expertise, relationship development, and business growth.
At its core, the Director of Strategic Partnerships is a builder of relationships - both with Clients and Consultants. This is someone who thrives by helping clients identify and articulate their needs, then aligning those needs with C-Shift's expertise, offerings, and people to create the right solution.
Just as important is supporting the success of our Consultants by matching the right skills to the work and the right personalities with the culture. This is a relationship-forward business development role focused on growing C-Shift’s impact across both new and existing clients- while ensuring the work we develop, is work we can deliver exceptionally well.
The right person reaps energy both from the business development process and the long-lasting account management relationship that follows. They enjoy uncovering opportunities, shaping solutions, and winning great work, but they are equally invested in what happens after the work is won. They may help stand up a new project, work directly on an engagement, advise Clients and Consultants, or continue developing the relationship as new needs emerge.
This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people solve problems, builds trust naturally, and has enough of a competitive streak to find satisfaction in turning strong relationships and great solutions into growth.
Role Overview:
This is a dual-track role: roughly 50% of your time will be spent as a billable senior consultant on client projects, with the other 50% focused on building relationships, developing business, and growing C-Shift's impact.
You'll work alongside our CEO and consulting team to identify client needs, shape solutions, develop new opportunities, and grow relationships over time. Depending on the engagement, you'll also help stand up new projects, facilitate senior leadership sessions, advise project teams, or work directly alongside clients as a senior consultant.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver client work at a senior level across C-Shift's core service lines, building credibility before carrying your own accounts
- Turn client needs into scoped, client-ready engagements – writing the approach, proposals, and presentation materials
- Facilitate strategy sessions and stakeholder conversations with the executive presence to steer a room to an outcome
- Build and own a growing book of client and consultant relationships
- Support resourcing and staffing decisions, matching consultants to the work being scoped
- Serve as a culture champion and pitch in on internal initiatives, as every member of our small team does
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Background in several of C-Shift's core service areas: strategy and value realization, project management, organizational change management, learning, talent development, team effectiveness, or Insights Discovery
- High social and personal EQ with the ability to establish rapport and credibility quickly
- Track record as a credible and effective Lead Consultant or in a comparable senior client-facing advisory role
- Demonstrated success developing business, scoping work, and growing client or partner relationships
- Experience designing and facilitating executive and stakeholder sessions and guiding groups toward meaningful outcomes
- Ability to take an ambiguous client need and create structure, clarity, and a client-ready approach
- Strong executive presence and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to tell a compelling story through polished, visually engaging presentations and proposals
- Comfortable operating with autonomy, ownership, and a bias toward action
- Strong follow-through and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and aptitude for learning and embracing tools such as Monday.com, Harvest, Smartsheet, and AI-enabled platforms
What We Look For:
- Helpers and problem-solvers who get genuine satisfaction from understanding what someone needs and figuring out how to help
- Relationship builders who earn trust quickly and invest in relationships well beyond the initial transaction
- Curious listeners who ask thoughtful questions and seek to understand the real challenge before jumping to a solution
- Connectors who naturally see how client needs, C-Shift's capabilities, and the right people can come together
- People-first competitors who enjoy winning work and growing the business, but believe the best growth comes from creating real value and doing right by the client
- Structured thinkers who can turn ambiguity into clarity and ideas into actionable, well-defined work
- Strong facilitators who can read a room, engage senior leaders, and confidently guide conversations toward an outcome
- Owners who want to nurture and grow an account or project rather than simply contribute to one
- Collaborative partners who care about the success of clients, consultants, and teammates and contribute wherever needed
- Culture champions who lead with integrity, creativity, performance, and collaboration and believe how we work together matters as much as the results we deliver
Role Details:
- Must be based in the Denver-metro area; mostly remote, with regular in-office days in Littleton (primary) and Boulder (occasional)
- Some domestic and international travel for client engagements; valid passport required
- $150,000 Base salary plus earned incentive
- Benefits include a health insurance stipend, employer-paid payroll taxes/FICA, three weeks of paid vacation, ten paid holidays, and paid development opportunities after three years of service
