Job Description
Lundbeck is looking for a talented Director of Scientific Communications in Medical Affairs to spearhead the scientific strategy and content development for our neuroscience therapies. In this dynamic role, you'll play a critical part in shaping integrated medical communication and publication plans, ensuring that all materials meet scientific and regulatory standards, while translating complex data into clear and compliant messages suited for healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the creation and execution of a scientific communication strategy for Lundbeck's neuroscience portfolio.
• Develop and oversee comprehensive medical communication and publication plans throughout the product lifecycle.
• Ensure scientific accuracy, balance, and compliance of all medical materials.
• Convert complex clinical and real-world data into clear, audience-appropriate messages.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Commercial teams.
• Support the medical congress strategy, including abstracts, posters, symposia, and scientific platforms.
• Guide the development of tools and resources for field medical and stakeholder education.
• Manage external agencies and vendors to produce high-quality scientific content.
• Mentor peers and junior staff, providing leadership in scientific communication.
• Align communication priorities with evidence generation and the overall medical strategy.
Required Skills:
• Expertise in medical affairs strategy.
• Skills in scientific communication planning.
• Experience with publication planning.
• Strong data interpretation abilities.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards (FDA/OPDP/PhRMA).
• Ability to collaborate across functions effectively.
• Experience in vendor and agency management.
• Expertise in oncology/CNS therapeutics.
• Skills in KOL and stakeholder engagement.
• Proficiency in medical writing and review.
