The Director of Pharmacy - Oncology & Infusion Services, Ohio Market provides strategic and operational leadership for oncology and infusion pharmacy services across Cleveland Clinic's Ohio market. This leader oversees a growing portfolio of ambulatory infusion centers, cancer centers, and hospital-based infusion services while leading a multidisciplinary team of pharmacists, pharmacy specialists, lead pharmacists, and pharmacy managers across multiple locations. Responsibilities include developing and executing service line strategies, driving operational excellence, managing, budgets, and quality outcomes, and partnering with clinical and operational leaders to enhance patient access, standardize pharmacy practices, and improve care delivery. The Director plays a key role in advancing enterprise initiatives, supporting expansion of infusion capacity, implementing innovative care delivery models, and leading strategic growth in oncology & infusion services. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of oncology and infusion pharmacy services within one of the nation's leading healthcare organizations.
A caregiver in this position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm with no weekends, holidays. Main office location is CC Administrative Campus but will include time on-site at Cleveland Clinic facilities and medical centers.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
• Be responsible for department planning and supervising all pharmacy personnel.
• Participate in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budget, assuming leadership of drug expense portion.
• Design systems to ensure the Pharmacy Department meets all existing standards.
• Develop, implement, direct, and monitor pharmaceutical care services.
• Design quality programs evaluating drug utilization and pharmacy services.
• Evaluate efficiency and safety of pharmacy services.
• Recommend programs to enhance performance while staying abreast of current trends.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
• Advanced degree: PharmD, Master of Science or Master of Business Administration
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in the current state or within 90 days of hire.
• 3 years of management or supervisory experience with direct reports.
• 10 years in an equivalent role within a health system environment may substitute the advanced degree requirement.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
• Oncology pharmacy experience.
• Infusion pharmacy leadership experience.
• Cancer center or ambulatory infusion experience.
• Home infusion leadership experience.
• Clinical oncology experience.
• Sterile compounding expertise.
• Experience leading large, complex teams.
• Ability to manage both operational and strategic priorities simultaneously
Physical Requirements:
• Physical demands include periods of standing and walking.
• Dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions and communication via telephone.
• May be required to lift and transport up to 10 pounds.
• Requires normal or corrected vision.
Personal Protective Equipment:
• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
