Job Description
An interim Pharmacy Director role is available at a 99-bed hospital and affiliated provider clinics in New Mexico. This position oversees pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining adherence to pharmacy standards.
Location:
• Lakewood, New Mexico
Schedule:
• Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• 40 hours per week
Duration:
• 13-week contract, with potential for temp-to-hire for the right candidate
Responsibilities:
• Lead pharmacy operations in a hospital setting, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage pharmacy staff and workflow to maintain quality and safety standards
• Oversee implementation and use of MedHost EMR within pharmacy practices
• Collaborate with medical staff and leadership to support optimal patient care and medication management
Qualifications:
• Valid New Mexico Pharmacy License required
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Pharmacy Director in a hospital environment
• Strong knowledge of compliance standards for pharmacy operations at all regulatory levels
• Experience using MedHost EMR system preferred
