Lead the Transformation in Oncology Care

In your role as the Performance Suite Medical Director in Medical Oncology, you will be at the forefront of redefining oncology care delivery. You will leverage value-based care models to emphasize clinical excellence and patient-centered outcomes while collaborating with top-tier clinicians to influence care pathways and drive innovation.

Your Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership & Performance Management:
• Lead and mentor a team of medical oncologists in reviewing oncology cases.
• Set clear performance expectations, monitor team outcomes, and support professional development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Practice & Physician Engagement:
• Engage actively with oncology practices, sharing best practices and supporting the adoption of evidence-based pathways.
• Build trusted relationships with oncologists to encourage sustainable changes that enhance patient outcomes.
• Support transformation initiatives to minimize unwarranted variation and improve quality.
• Internal Strategy & Value Initiatives:
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to design and implement new value initiatives in oncology.
• Provide insights on innovation opportunities, clinical algorithms, and specialty care models.
• Work with operational teams to assess intervention impacts and uncover opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Participate in audits to ensure the accuracy of advanced payment model payouts.
• Compliance & Quality:
• Ensure all processes meet URAC, NCQA, and internal quality standards.
• Document interactions and clinical decisions accurately and promptly.
• Engage in training and maintain inter-rater reliability.

Qualifications:
• MD/DO/MBBS with board certification in Medical Oncology.
• A minimum of five years of post-residency experience, preferably with direct clinical practice in the past two years.
• Possess a current, unrestricted medical license (multiple state licenses are a plus).
• Demonstrated leadership in clinical operations, practice transformation, and quality improvement.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with the ability to influence physician practices.
• Energetic and passionate about reshaping the future of oncology care delivery.
• Must not be under sanction or exclusion from Medicare/Medicaid programs.

Additional Information:

All applicants will go through a comprehensive background check and identity verification processes. The expected base salary is between $270,000 and $340,000, depending on experience. Evolent also offers comprehensive health benefits as part of the compensation package.
