In the role of Director of Medical Oncology Performance, you will be instrumental in advancing value-based care models that emphasize clinical excellence and patient-centered outcomes. Work collaboratively with top-tier clinicians to influence care pathways and innovate in the critical field of oncology. If you are passionate about making a measurable impact in oncology, this is your opportunity to lead with purpose.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, rigor, and continuous improvement while driving accountability.
• Practice & Physician Engagement
• Engage directly with oncology practices to share best clinical practices and support the adoption of evidence-based pathways.
• Build trusted relationships with oncologists to promote sustainable behavior change that enhances patient outcomes.
• Champion initiatives that minimize unwarranted variations and elevate quality.
• Internal Strategy & Value Initiatives
• Work with Evolent’s clinical leadership on the design and implementation of new oncology value initiatives.
• Contribute insights on innovation opportunities, clinical algorithms, and models of care that drive specialty care transformation.
• Collaborate with operational and analytics teams to evaluate interventions and identify areas for ongoing improvement.
• Involve yourself in auditing to validate advance payment model payouts against clinical documentation and performance metrics.
• Compliance & Quality
• Ensure all reviews align with URAC, NCQA, and internal quality standards.
• Document peer interactions and clinical decisions accurately and promptly.
• Participate in training and inter-rater reliability processes as needed.
Qualifications
• MD/DO/MBBS with board certification in Medical Oncology.
• At least five years of post-residency experience, including active clinical practice within the last two years.
• Possess a current, unrestricted medical license (multiple state licenses preferred or willingness to obtain).
• Proven leadership in practice transformation, clinical operations, or value-based care.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a track record of influencing physician behaviors.
• Passionate about shaping the future of oncology care delivery, with a keen sense of curiosity.
• Must not be under sanction or exclusion from Medicare/Medicaid programs.
To ensure a secure hiring process, candidates will undergo several identity verification steps, including submission of a government-issued photo ID, background checks, and may require drug screening.
