The Director of Clinical Services - Oncology, holding ONS Certifications, is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for our clinical departments. This role is vital in ensuring excellence in patient care delivery, developing our team, optimizing resources, and nurturing a supportive and high-performing work environment. Key Responsibilities
• Clinical Operations Leadership
• Accountable for consistent, high-quality, patient-centered care delivery around the clock.
• Initiate projects to improve patient safety, clinical outcomes, and overall service excellence.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement performance improvement strategies driven by clinical and satisfaction metrics.
• Team Management
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff and Patient Care Coordinators, promoting a culture of excellence and ongoing development.
• Guide PCCs in effective leadership practices to enhance care delivery.
• Foster associate engagement and retention by creating positive work environments and recognizing outstanding performance.
• Oversee staffing models and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
• Fiscal Stewardship
• Contribute to annual budgeting, ensuring alignment with our organizational goals.
• Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and apply corrective actions to reach fiscal objectives.
• Employ data to inform strategic growth and service development.
• Environmental & Business Operations
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance across all service areas.
• Proactively identify and address needs regarding environment and equipment to support safe, efficient patient care.
• Lead projects to implement new technologies and improve operational efficiency.
• Professional Practice Leadership
• Act as a role model for nursing professionalism, ethics, and clinical excellence.
• Pursue advanced certifications and engage with professional organizations.
• Promote evidence-based practice and foster a culture of lifelong learning.
Education Requirements
• Required: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Nursing
Experience Requirements
• Required: 3-5 years in an acute care environment
Licenses and Certifications
• Required: Registered Nurse license from Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Required: Basic Life Support certification from American Heart Association
• Preferred: Nursing Administration board certification or national certification in the clinical specialty
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrate advanced leadership skills including strategic thinking, change management, and team empowerment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex workflows effectively.
• Proficient in data analysis and utilizing insights for decision-making.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with healthcare information systems.
Supervision Provided by this Position

• Involves a range of physical activities including climbing, pushing, standing, walking, reaching, and more.
