Director

Role Description The Director at ALHAYAT TENDERS will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all tendering and procurement activities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This full-time, on-site role includes setting departmental goals, managing end-to-end tender processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving key bids, coordinating cross-functional input from finance, legal, and operations, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners. The Director will monitor performance metrics, optimize processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and lead a team by providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. The role also involves budgeting, risk management, reporting to senior leadership, and contributing to long-term business development and growth initiatives.

- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with experience directing cross-functional teams and overseeing complex projects.
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills, including the ability to set priorities, allocate resources, and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Solid background in procurement, tender management, or contract administration, with the ability to interpret tender requirements and contractual terms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, including comfort working with data, financial models, and performance metrics.
- Highly developed communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and present information clearly to senior leadership.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance, risk management, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency with relevant business software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, tendering or procurement platforms, CRM systems).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, procurement-related certification) is an advantage.
- Previous director-level or senior management experience in a tendering, procurement, or similar environment, preferably within a corporate or government contracting context.
- Ability to work on-site in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, with a collaborative mindset and readiness to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
