Job Description
Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Department Chair - Radiology for the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG) to provide administrative oversight of the department, its physicians, and advanced practice professionals. The Chair ensures alignment with the academic mission of the cancer center, supports clinical trials accrual, and maintains clinical standards of care while holding faculty accountable for their clinical, administrative, research, teaching, and service roles. This leader will be accountable to the Executive Vice President / Physician-in-Chief for overall department performance, including budget adherence, clinical productivity, and quality of care provision.

Responsibilities
• Provide administrative oversight of the Department and its Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals
• Ensure alignment of Faculty and APPs with the Academic mission of the Cancer Center
• Support the accrual of patients to available Clinical Trials
• Facilitate Departmental participation in development, writing, maintenance and adherence to pathways as clinical Standards of Care
• Hold Faculty accountable for Clinical, Administrative, Research, Teaching and Service components of their roles
• Require Faculty to dedicate appropriate time and effort to each of these roles, in accordance with their dedicated time commitment
• Be accountable to the Executive Vice President / Physician-in-Chief (EVP-PIC) for the overall performance of the Department, including adherence to budget, clinical productivity, mission alignment and quality of care provision
Compensation
• $578,240 - $865,280 salary range
• Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role
Requirements
• MD/DO
• Board certification in area of specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Florida Medical License
• Unrestricted MD Medical Doctor (MD)
• DEA License
• Board certified (or eligible) and fellowship trained in Radiology
• Florida Department of Health
• A minimum of 7 years experience as a medical practitioner with appropriate experience in clinical care, research and education in an Academic Medical Center setting
• Effective leadership skills, particularly applied to Physicians and other Professionals, where team-based leadership is an essential skill
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in Physician Leadership is desirable, but not essential
• Experience practicing in an oncology related specialty
