Job Type: Travel contract

Shift - Monday-Friday 8 am-4:30 pm EST

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Pay Range: $2000 - $2500 weekly
• Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Key Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, Physical Science, or Biological Science.
• Certification: Must meet ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) requirements.
• If not ASCP-certified at the time of hire, the candidate must pass the ASCP registry within 1 year of the start date.
• State License: Florida Cytotechnologist license required.
• CLIA: Must meet CLIA/CFR 493.1483 requirements.
• Cytology Training: Liquid-based cytology experience/training preferred, particularly:
• ThinPrep
• SurePath

Main Responsibilities
• Microscopically screen and interpret gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology slides.
• Identify infectious, pre-malignant, and malignant disease processes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of:
• Number of slides screened
• Hours spent screening
• Interpretations/results
• Maintain specimen integrity and correct patient identification.
• Enter and report results through the LIS (Laboratory Information System).
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality under HIPAA.
• Follow CLIA, CAP, CMS, and federal/local regulations.
• Participate in annual CMS-approved proficiency testing, when applicable.

A strong candidate would have Cytotechnologist/CT experience, Florida licensure, ASCP eligibility or certification, and hands-on experience with ThinPrep or SurePath liquid-based cytology.
