The Cytotechnologist discriminates between the abnormal and normal cells through an in-depth knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of cells, tissues and organ systems to interpret cell morphology and render diagnostic decisions.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Position Details:
Education: B.S. degree and graduation from an accredited school of cytotechnology.Licensure: ASCP certified or eligible.Experience: None.Certification/Registration: None.Other skills & knowledge (skills, knowledge, abilities): Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 25 lbs., pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.Equipment Used: Standard cytology equipment and instrumentation.Preferred Experience: One year experience preferred.
