## About This Opportunity
This is a full-time position based in Aiea Heights, HI with 40 scheduled weekly hours. The base pay rate is $48.09 to $52.90 hourly. We offer relocation and sign-on bonuses for eligible candidates.
## What You'll Do
You'll perform a vital part of the patient care process by examining prepared slides with the microscope to detect evidence of abnormalities. Your day-to-day work includes using diagnostic codes to report negative cases and referring abnormal cases to pathologists for review. You'll keep records of work performed on a daily basis while working in a fast-paced laboratory environment where you champion safety, compliance, and quality control.
## What We're Looking For
Graduation from an accredited school of cytology is essential. You'll need either 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high-complexity testing, though new graduates from an accredited Cytology program will be considered. Cytotechnologist certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists is required. Beyond these baseline credentials, you should have strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
You must be able to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms.
If you have 1+ years of laboratory training or experience, that's a bonus for us.
