Labcorp has a comprehensive benefits package and competitive compensation.The schedule for this position will be: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm.Address: 605 East Huntington Drive, Monrovia, CA 91016Job ResponsibilitiesScreen and evaluate any gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens sent to the laboratory for the determination of possible malignant or related abnormal conditionsScreening of all liquid based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slidesPerform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and policiesEnsure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelinesMaintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of resultsMeet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedureFinalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely mannerProvide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as neededComply with all safety, infection control and HIPAA policiesRequirementsBachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/universitySuccessful completion of an accredited Cytology programCA Cytotechnologist (CTT) license requiredASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification is requiredPrior experience working in Cytology is preferredThinPrep and SurePath certifications is a plusMust pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency testDemonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniquesAutomated and non-automated testing experience is preferredFamiliarity with laboratory information systems (LIS)Ability to work independen
