Cytotechnologist Key Responsibilities:
Examine cellular samples, fluid specimens, and fine needle aspirations under a microscope to identify abnormalities or signs of disease. Analyze cellular morphology to detect cancerous or precancerous conditions. Document findings accurately in the lab information system, preparing comprehensive reports for pathologists. Ensure adherence to quality control protocols to maintain test accuracy and reliability. Cytotechnologist Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology or a related field from an accredited institution. Certification as a Cytotechnologist (CT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or an equivalent certification. At least one year of experience working as a Cytotechnologist in a clinical laboratory. Proficient in operating lab equipment, including microscopes and imaging systems.
