Credentialed Medical Assistant / LPN - Surgical Oncology

Kettering Health Network seeks a Credentialed Medical Assistant or LPN to support our Surgical Oncology team. In this role, you will room patients, gather histories and vitals, assist with procedures, administer medications within scope, and ensure accurate EMR documentation. You will educate patients on pre- and post-surgical care, coordinate scheduling and follow-up, and maintain clinical areas and infection control standards. Responsibilities
• Room and prepare surgical oncology patients for exams and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and medications
• Assist providers with minor procedures and treatments
• Administer medications and injections per licensure and protocols
• Perform basic clinical tasks such as EKGs, specimen collection, and wound care
• Ensure accurate, timely EMR documentation and patient tracking
• Educate patients and families on pre- and post-procedure instructions
• Support care coordination, scheduling, and follow-up appointments
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver faith-based, patient-centered care
