Creative Assistant

We’re looking for a creative, highly organised and exceptionally detail-focused Creative Assistant to join our growing team.





We predominantly specialise in Pakistani and Indian weddings, so you’ll need a strong understanding of South Asian wedding culture, décor and current trends. You should know what’s in fashion, be willing to research new ideas and have the creativity to develop concepts that suit our clients.





This is a varied role split between our office and different wedding venues, as we are an external catering and décor company.





The Role





You’ll be involved in:





* Creating new wedding and décor concepts

* Recreating previous designs using our existing stock

* Researching trends, products, suppliers and inspiration

* Sourcing décor and materials

* Creating visual mock-ups and presentations

* Designing menus, signage, fonts and other client materials

* Collecting and organising information from clients

* General admin and keeping event details accurate

* Supporting other creative/design work across the company

* Attending venues and helping ensure designs are delivered correctly





What We’re Looking For





* Photoshop/design skills are essential

* CAD experience is a bonus, but not essential

* Strong understanding of Pakistani/Indian wedding styles and trends

* An exceptional eye for detail

* Excellent organisation and admin skills

* Someone with initiative who doesn’t need to be constantly managed

* Someone who naturally spots things that are wrong, unfinished or could be improved

* Confident enough to speak up and suggest changes or improvements

* Creative, resourceful and able to problem-solve

* Comfortable communicating with clients

* Able to manage several projects at once

* Flexible with longer and antisocial hours, particularly during busy wedding periods and weekends





We want someone who takes pride in the small details. If something is out of place, a design doesn’t quite work, a font is wrong or something at a venue needs fixing, we want you to notice it and do something about it.
