Job Description
Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a Harvard Medical School affiliated teaching hospital, is seeking a full-time Community Hematologist/Oncologist to join its new Hematology/Oncology Clinic at the Quincy Ambulatory Center, opening in 2027. This role offers the opportunity to establish a community-based practice within a modern facility providing comprehensive hematology/oncology care. The successful candidate will contribute to clinical care and education as part of Longwood Specialty Physicians, a network committed to world-class medical expertise and professional development.
Practice Info
• The Quincy Ambulatory Center is scheduled to open in 2027.
• The Quincy site will be a modern ambulatory facility providing comprehensive hematology/oncology care, including infusion services for both cancer and non-cancer indications, with multidisciplinary and cancer-supportive services.
• Adjacent primary care, urgent care, radiology, laboratory, and medical subspecialty clinics will be within the building.
• The Quincy practice will be one of seven BIDMC licensed ambulatory oncology clinics within Beth Israel Lahey Health.
• Anticipate the future ability within the practice for provider disease specialization and focus.
• The individual will report through Cancer Center Leadership and the SVP, Cancer Center.
Responsibilities
• Establish a community-based hematology/oncology practice.
• Focus on clinical care and education.
Compensation
• Pay Range: $395,000 - $730,000
• Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
• This role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality.
