Colorectal Surgeon

Highlands Oncology is seeking an exceptional Board-Certified/Board Eligible Colorectal Surgeon to join their Surgical Oncology Practice in Northwest Arkansas. This role offers an extraordinary opportunity to be part of a growing practice, shaping its future while providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients. The successful candidate will be a Fellowship-Trained Colorectal Surgeon, preferably Board-Certified with previous Colon and Rectal Surgery experience, to serve patients in the Northwest Arkansas area.

Practice Info

• Elective colorectal practice emphasizing teamwork and a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care.

• Work closely with medical and radiation oncology through weekly multi-disciplinary conferences for comprehensive surgical planning.

• Benefit from support from all specialties and ancillary support services for colorectal patients.

• Outpatient enterostomal therapy is available on site at the Parkway office, as well as ostomy support groups.

• Highlands Oncology is the premiere oncology practice in Arkansas offering medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgical oncology services including breast, colorectal, urologic, and gynecologic specialties.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to colorectal patients, including initial consultations, the development of surgical plans, surgery, and follow-up visits in a busy practice.

• Work collaboratively with a highly skilled team of specialists, including medical oncology, radiation oncology, and other surgical services.

• Ensure continuity of care by coordinating follow-up care and collaborating with oncology and other services.

• Deliver a full range of colorectal services, leveraging advanced technology and a robust support system.

• Coordinate follow-up care with oncology and other services based on patient needs on an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Requirements

• ABCRS certified or eligible surgeon with fellowship training in colorectal surgery.

• Board Certification in Colon and Rectal Surgery will be required within 3 years of hire.

• Strong passion for providing comprehensive care and building a subspecialty service.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Post residency experience is preferred.

• Commitment to excellent patient care and a patient-centered approach.

• Laparoscopic and/or robotic experience are essential.

• Superior surgical, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.

• Ability and desire to develop interdisciplinary collaborations and work well with others.
