Job Description
Company EverOnn.Ai (an A Foundery venture)
Model AI front desk plus managed customer-response operations for US SMBs
Location New York/New Jersey , United States
Primary market: United States
Type Co-Founder, full-time ·
Start: ASAP
The Opportunity in One Line
We're looking for a commercial founder to build the company that helps small businesses capture more opportunities by combining an always-available AI front desk, a modern website and managed customer-response operations. The technology is already built. Your job: find the sharpest customer need, win the market's trust, and build the commercial company around it.
Compensation
Salary of $80,000 to $120,000 per year and a path to significant ownership. Vesting and related terms are agreed in the Co-Founder agreement.
About A Foundery
A Foundery is a profit-led venture studio that partners with operators to build cash-positive companies through focused execution. We don't chase valuation. We build businesses that survive without funding. We provide the backbone (funding, shared technology, operations, finance, legal, HR and marketing, plus systemized delivery pods and company-building infrastructure) so you can concentrate on customers, revenue and growth. Our ecosystem also includes a partnership with Harvard Alumni Entrepreneurs.
We handle everything else. You own one thing: the commercial company.
The Customer Problem
Small-business owners answer calls, website inquiries, appointment requests and customer messages while simultaneously delivering the service. Many rely on a disconnected mix of voicemail, contact forms, scheduling apps, texts, directory listings and manual follow-up. When the owner or office team is unavailable, customers wait, repeat themselves, or contact another provider.
That's expensive: every unanswered inquiry can be lost revenue, while hiring for continuous coverage adds fixed cost, overhead and inconsistent service. Conventional answering services capture messages without understanding the business. Standalone chatbots, website builders and scheduling tools automate individual tasks but don't close the operating loop from inquiry to qualification, routing, booking and follow-up. Do nothing, and the business keeps paying for fragmented tools while staff do repetitive coordination and high-intent opportunities slip away to slow response.
What We Are Building
EverOnn.Ai is a technology-enabled customer-front operation for small businesses. The product brings together:
- AI-assisted telephone answering and lead qualification
- Website chat and visitor engagement
- Conversion-focused business websites
- Appointment and service-request capture
- Customer summaries, routing and follow-up
- Search-ready business information and a shared, approved knowledge base
The technology is already developed. The Co-Founder is not recruited to write software or build the core product.
The managed service: EverOnn doesn't just hand customers another app. Its managed service configures the customer journey, business information, response rules, intake questions, escalation paths and follow-up for each client. AI handles repeatable first-response work, gathers information and produces structured summaries; human delivery pods manage onboarding, configuration, QA, exception handling and ongoing improvement. EverOnn works alongside a customer's existing website, business phone number, calendars, forms and customer-management workflows, with specific integrations selected during implementation.
Commercial model: recurring subscription and managed-service revenue, packaged around the capabilities and service level each customer needs.
The Value We Sell
EverOnn helps customers respond to inquiries faster and more consistently, protect revenue otherwise lost to missed calls, reduce repetitive reception work, increase customer-response capacity without equivalent headcount, organize lead information before it reaches the owner, improve follow-up discipline, and create one accountable operating layer across calls, chat and website inquiries.
We're not selling another chatbot, website or answering tool. We sell a more responsive customer operation that captures opportunities and moves them to the next step.
The Unfair Advantage
You start with developed website, AI-chat and AI-call capabilities, an operating team with customer and deployment experience, experience building and managing offshore delivery pods, shared technology, finance, legal, HR, operations and marketing support, productized onboarding and delivery processes refined through customer deployments, and a venture-studio model built around commercial execution and recurring revenue.
The advantage isn't a single feature competitors can't reproduce. It's the combination of technology, trained delivery capacity, operating discipline, quality assurance and accountable customer outcomes.
What still needs to be built is the commercial company: the sharpest market wedge, a repeatable customer-acquisition motion, category positioning, pricing evidence, a customer-success process and a scalable revenue engine. That's your mandate.
The Co-Founder Role
Primarily a commercial, customer-owning role, with the two sides split cleanly.
You own the Commercial Company: market selection and positioning, customer discovery and offer design, prospecting, partnerships and pipeline, sales conversations, proposals and closing, commercial onboarding and expectation-setting, customer relationships, retention and expansion, revenue forecasting and unit-economics discipline, and the operating rhythm and scoreboard for growth.
A Foundery / the supporting team own Delivery: core technology development and maintenance, website and AI-agent configuration, offshore delivery-pod operations, technical implementation, QA and delivery reporting, and shared finance, legal, HR and marketing infrastructure.
You stay accountable for the customer outcome, but you won't personally perform every technical or delivery task.
Jobs to Be Done
- Define the wedge: Select the first segment where missed inquiries, after-hours demand and fragmented follow-up create the clearest commercial pain.
- Build the pipeline: Create a focused outbound and partnership motion targeting qualified US small businesses.
- Win the first customers: Lead discovery, demonstrations, proposals and pilot negotiations personally.
- Own onboarding: Translate each signed customer's expectations into a clear scope, success plan and handoff to delivery.
- Prove value: Build a scoreboard covering response time, inquiries handled, qualified opportunities, bookings, follow-up and customer-reported outcomes.
- Convert and expand: Turn successful pilots into recurring agreements and add channels or locations responsibly.
- Own customer success: Maintain executive relationships, resolve commercial issues and protect retention.
- Build the company: Establish the sales process, pricing discipline, forecasting cadence and commercial team for repeatable growth.
First 90 Days
Month 1 — Focus: Select the segment and primary buyer, define the entry-point workflow, run structured discovery, refine the offer, build a qualified pipeline, and align scope and pricing with delivery.
Month 2 — Sell: Run discovery and solution-design meetings, produce scoped proposals, validate pricing and delivery assumptions, advance opportunities, define value measurement, and secure a paid pilot.
Month 3 — Prove: Onboard at least one paying customer, establish the delivery and governance cadence, document the first repeatable sales-to-delivery process, and build a repeatable approach for the next customer.
The essential 90-day outcome: at least one paying customer onboarded, and a credible, repeatable path to more.
The Offer
Salary Package : A pre-agreed salary of $80,000 to $120,000 per year set against revenue, cash flow, scope and performance.
Longterm ownership: A defined path to significant ownership, subject to agreed milestones and continued contribution. Vesting, transfer and governance terms are settled in the formal Co-Founder agreement.
The structure is deliberate. Modest cash early, real ownership as the revenue arrives.
Who Should Consider This
You may be a fit if you've built or sold services to US small businesses; led business development for an agency, managed service or SaaS-enabled service; have experience with local services, customer support, call operations or digital marketing; can prospect and close personally; bring strong commercial judgment; can turn a broad platform into a simple, valuable offer; and have a bias toward revenue, evidence and repeatable execution. This is not the right role for someone seeking a salary-first position, a passive advisory title or a purely technical product role.
Why Now
Customers increasingly expect immediate, informed responses across phone, website and messaging. Small businesses need to meet that without building a large internal customer-service operation or managing another collection of disconnected tools. The technology and delivery capability are available. The opportunity now is to build the focused commercial engine that brings them to the right customers, and win that position first.
