CNC Haas Lathe Machinist

Job title: CNC Haas Lathes Setup Machinist

Location: Avon, OH



As the CNC Setup Machinist you would be responsible for the setup of CNC machining centers efficiently and effectively for multiple machines(Mills and/or Lathes).



Duties/Responsibilities


- Efficient and timely setup of all CNC Mills and/or Lathes in the facility.
- Ensures proper tooling is loaded into tool holders.
- Load programs, make adjustments as needed to produce quality part (i.e. speeds, feeds, depth of cut, chamfers, etc.).
- Set fixtures, tooling and vises required to produce parts.
- Review work orders and prints.
- Ensure raw materials are available and correct for the part to be produced.
- Run first production piece prior to handing off to an operator.
- Ensure all setup parameters are documented and repeatable prior to hand off to operator
- Develops common tooling for all CNC milling equipment.




Skills/Qualifications

- 3 years' experience setting up CNC machines on both Mills and Lathes
- Understands basic shop math, able to read prints, and edit programs using G&M codes.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Will be subject to a pre-employment screening.




Salary: $27 to $31 (10% shift differential)

Shift: 2nd shift (3 pm to 1130 pm Monday through Friday)(OT as needed)
