Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research organization to engage experienced
therapeutic-area and clinical subject-matter experts to review physician and patient research surveys.
In this role, you'll apply deep knowledge of specific disease areas to evaluate whether
survey questions, clinical terminology, treatment pathways, clinical scenarios, and response options accurately reflect real-world clinical practice and patient experience.
An MD is not required. Professionals from medical affairs, healthcare and life-sciences consulting, medical writing, clinical research, pharmaceutical research, market research, scientific communications, and clinical practice backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with additional experience designing or fielding pharmaceutical market research surveys are particularly valuable.
Responsibilities
- Review physician and patient surveys for clinical and therapeutic-area accuracy.
- Evaluate disease terminology, treatment pathways, therapies, clinical scenarios, and response options.
- Assess whether survey questions accurately reflect real-world clinical practice.
- Identify inaccurate, outdated, ambiguous, incomplete, or missing clinical considerations.
- Evaluate whether questions appropriately represent physician decision-making and patient experiences.
- Review questions for alignment with current treatment approaches and standards of care.
- Assess whether clinical scenarios accurately reflect the experiences of physicians, patients, and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with survey methodologists to improve the clinical quality of research instruments.
- Where qualified, independently assess both clinical content and survey design.
- Provide clear, evidence-based recommendations for improving survey questions and response options.
- Identify areas where additional clinical context, terminology, or treatment considerations may be required.
- Collaborate asynchronously with research teams and other subject-matter experts.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional experience within a relevant therapeutic or clinical area.
- Deep understanding of the relevant disease landscape, treatment options, and real-world clinical decision-making.
