Role Description The Clinical Oncology Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role focuses on supporting the adoption and appropriate use of Natera’s oncology diagnostics by educating clinicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals on test indications, interpretation, and clinical integration. The specialist will conduct regular in-person meetings, presentations, and case discussions with oncology care teams, collaborate with internal medical and sales teams, and provide ongoing clinical support for existing accounts. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing relevant clinical data, staying current with oncology research and guidelines, identifying opportunities to improve patient pathways, and ensuring that Natera’s tests are used in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements. The role may also involve participation in local and regional educational events, tumor boards, and training sessions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in oncology and cancer biology, with the ability to translate complex clinical concepts into practical guidance for healthcare professionals.

• Background in medicine or pharmacy, or a closely related clinical discipline, enabling informed discussions on treatment pathways and diagnostic decisions.

• Demonstrated experience in clinical or translational research, including interpreting scientific literature and using evidence to support clinical recommendations.

• Relevant degree in a life science or health-related field (e.g., MD, DO, PharmD, RN/NP/PA with oncology focus, MSc or PhD in biomedical sciences) or equivalent clinical experience.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary oncology teams.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize clinical engagements and manage territory-based activities.

• Familiarity with precision medicine, molecular diagnostics, or genetic testing in oncology is highly beneficial.

• Ability to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and travel locally or regionally as needed for meetings and educational events.
