Clinical Oncology Pharmacists (3 Positions)

UofL Health Brown Cancer Center is growing—and we’re looking for three clinical oncology pharmacists to join our collaborative, patient-centered team.

As part of an academic medical center, our pharmacists practice at the top of their license across four cancer center locations and inpatient services at UofL Hospital. You’ll be embedded within multidisciplinary teams, playing an integral role in direct patient care, treatment decision-making, and advancing oncology practice.

Our program supports a diverse and evolving patient population, with exposure to cutting-edge therapies including HSCT, CAR-T, TILs, bispecific antibodies, and active clinical trials. Pharmacists are actively involved in these complex therapies, contributing to both standard-of-care and investigational treatment approaches.

We foster a vibrant culture of professional growth, engagement, and lifelong learning. Our pharmacists regularly precept students from multiple colleges of pharmacy and play an active role in our PGY1 and oncology PGY2 residency programs. Team members are engaged in state and national organizations, present at regional and national conferences, serve as faculty for educational programs, participate in research and clinical trials, and mentor future oncology pharmacists. Open Positions

1. Medical Oncology Clinical Pharmacist (2 positions) -These roles are primarily based in outpatient solid tumor clinics, providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services and collaborating closely with oncology providers to optimize patient care. (Clinical Pharmacist-Specialist, Brown Cancer Center, Medical Oncology)

2. Blood Cancers, Cellular Therapies, and Transplant (BCT) Clinical Pharmacist (1 position) - This position includes a greater focus on inpatient care (rounding with the BCT team) with opportunities for outpatient BCT clinic coverage based on candidate interest. (Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, Inpatient Blood and Cellular Therapies)

All positions are primarily first-shift, Monday through Friday roles. Pharmacists participate in a limited clinical inpatient weekend coverage rotation and may occasionally provide support within our cancer center pharmacies. For full job descriptions, please click either link above.

Ideal candidates are PharmDs with PGY2 oncology training or equivalent experience. Must be licensed or license eligible as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky (required). Board certification in Oncology Pharmacy preferred.
