Job Description
Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in a specialized 30-bed unit focused on female-related health issues, primarily GYN Oncology, including chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, symptom, pain, palliative, and hospice care. Works within a multidisciplinary team to deliver moderate to high acuity, high-complexity interventions.
Key Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care per nursing standards.
• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Develop and document individualized care plans, communicating across care teams.
• Evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations.
• Participate in patient safety, quality improvement, and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills
• RN license with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor's preferred.
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred for advanced roles.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain safety and work alertness in a safety-sensitive environment.
