Clinical Nurse Medical Oncology

BJC HealthCare seeks a Clinical Nurse for its Medical Oncology team to deliver expert, compassionate care to adult cancer patients. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, administer chemotherapy and infusions, and closely monitor treatment responses while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to adult medical oncology patients across the care continuum
Administer chemotherapy and supportive infusions, monitoring for adverse reactions
Perform comprehensive assessments, develop and update individualized care plans
Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team to coordinate treatment
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and symptom management
Monitor labs, vital signs, and treatment responses; escalate changes promptly
Maintain accurate electronic health records and comply with safety and infection-control protocols
Support oncology research initiatives and evidence-based practice improvements
Precept and mentor new nurses and students, promoting clinical excellence
Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety, and patient-experience initiatives
