Job Description
Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a compassionate Oncology Registered Nurse to deliver specialized care to patients throughout their cancer journey. In this role, you'll administer chemotherapy and biotherapy, manage side effects, and provide education and emotional support to patients and families. You'll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized treatment plans, ensure safe, evidence-based practice, and maintain accurate documentation. Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients across the treatment continuum (diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, palliative).
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products, and supportive medications following established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, monitor treatment responses, and manage side effects and complications.
• Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, symptom management, and home care instructions.
• Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and adhere to regulatory and facility policies.
• Advocate for patient needs, ensuring comfort, dignity, and culturally competent care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, safety checks, and evidence-based practice implementation.
• Follow infection prevention, chemotherapy handling, and hazardous waste disposal standards.
• Support a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and professional development aligned with Fusion Medical Staffing values.
