About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) with a focus on oncology diagnostics. The CSO will be a key leader in the development and execution of the company's oncology science and technology strategy, with a strong emphasis on both organic and inorganic efforts to advance the oncology diagnostic portfolio. This senior role requires a combined M.D. and Ph.D. degree, or an MD/PhD with a minimum of 14 years' experience, and a proven track record in oncology research and clinical management. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert medical, clinical, scientific, and technological insights, as well as for co-creating portfolio strategies and clinical development plans. The CSO will also be instrumental in identifying and evaluating early-stage technology investments, M&A opportunities, and organic investments to bring leading oncology-focused diagnostic solutions to market. Essential skills include extensive experience in the diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries, a strong network in the field, and the ability to influence external engagement strategies. The role demands a leader with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, who can effectively manage teams and budgets, and who is adept at mentoring and growing scientific talent. Experience with regulatory bodies, particularly in the areas of FDA and international regulations, is also a key requirement.
