Role Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring organizational effectiveness across Hugging Face AI. This role leads operational planning, drives execution of strategic initiatives, and collaborates with executive leadership to align operations with company goals. The COO will manage cross-functional teams, optimize processes, and establish metrics to monitor performance and operational efficiency. Daily responsibilities include overseeing budgeting and resource allocation, supporting finance and compliance activities, and enhancing internal workflows and systems. The COO will also foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making while scaling operations to support growth.

Qualifications



- Strong business planning and strategic operations skills, including experience in setting and executing long-term organizational plans.
- Proven operations management capabilities, with a track record of leading cross-functional teams and improving processes and systems.
- Advanced analytical skills to interpret data, define metrics, and support informed decision-making across the organization.
- Solid finance and budgeting skills, including experience managing budgets, forecasting, and partnering with finance teams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a technology or high-growth environment, ideally in AI, software, or related fields.
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed, remote-first organization and to communicate clearly across time zones and cultures.
- Experience building scalable operational frameworks, governance structures, and risk management practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
