Chief Operating Officer

The Encompass Group is partnering with a growing, multi-location gastroenterology organization in Houston, Texas, to identify an experienced Chief Operating Officer to join its executive leadership team.





This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an executive with a strong background in
gastroenterology and physician practice operations. The ideal candidate will have experience leading multi-site healthcare operations, partnering with physicians, driving financial performance, and supporting organizational growth.





Responsibilities


- Lead operations across multiple gastroenterology practice locations
- Partner with physicians and leadership on strategy, governance, and growth
- Oversee P&L, budgeting, KPIs, and financial performance
- Drive operational efficiency and performance improvement
- Oversee revenue cycle operations and provider compensation initiatives
- Support acquisitions, integrations, and new-location openings
- Oversee endoscopy center and/or ASC operations
- Report operational and financial performance to ownership and/or the board






Qualifications


- Gastroenterology experience is required
- Executive-level healthcare operations experience
- Experience leading multi-site physician practices
- Strong financial and P&L acumen
- Experience working directly with physicians and physician leadership
- Strong strategic, operational, and leadership skills
- ASC/endoscopy, M&A, and private equity experience preferred
