Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical operations across our multiple oncology outpatient clinics. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential patient care and administrative support in outpatient settings. Candidates with experience in outpatient environments, as well as familiarity with EHR systems and medical procedures, are highly valued. The position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and patient service to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms.

• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.

• Support medication administration under supervision and assist with basic life support when necessary.

• Operate EHR systems efficiently for documentation of patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans.

• Assist with patient education on treatment plans, medication usage, and post-care instructions.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas following healthcare protocols.

• Will occasionally be assigned to work in the lab doing phlebotomies.

• Will be expected to work at multiple locations between Stuart, Port St Lucie, and Ft Pierce, FL.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in medical specialty care (Oncology) Preferred

• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration.

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required;

• Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks is essential.

• Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.

• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient safety. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
