Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Minneapolis, MN. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing leads, and building long-term relationships with homeowners, partners, and industry professionals. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and qualifying leads, conducting consultations, preparing proposals, and collaborating with design and project teams to align client expectations with services offered. The role also involves managing a sales pipeline, tracking performance metrics, participating in local networking events, and helping refine marketing and outreach strategies to grow brand awareness. The Business Development Manager will represent Sicora Design/Build’s values and service offerings, ensuring a positive and professional client experience throughout the sales process.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management in residential design and remodeling
- Strong skills in client relationship management, consultation, and negotiation, with the ability to build trust and close projects of varying size and scope.
- Proficiency with CRM tools, lead tracking, and basic sales analytics to manage pipelines and forecast revenue.
- Solid understanding of residential remodeling or home construction processes, with the ability to translate client needs into clear project proposals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain design/build concepts in accessible terms.
- Ability to work on-site, collaborate closely with design and production teams, and manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Comfort with local networking, community engagement, and representing the company at industry events and homeowner meetings.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on accuracy, follow-through, and professional ethics.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the Minneapolis–St. Paul area for client visits and events.
