Breast Surgical Oncologist University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine | UPMC Hillman Cancer Center | UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor | Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania THE OPPORTUNITY Join a program that defined modern breast surgery The Division of Breast Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. We seek a fellowship-trained, board-certified surgeon committed to clinical excellence, scholarly inquiry, and the education of future breast surgical oncologists. Our program carries legacy. Dr.

Fisher conducted the landmark NSABP trials from Pittsburgh that permanently transformed breast cancer treatment _ establishing the equivalence of breast-conserving surgery and the role of adjuvant systemic therapy. Joining our faculty means building upon that foundation within one of the most accomplished breast programs in the country.
CLINICAL PRACTICE A high-volume, fully supported practice The successful candidate will join seven dedicated full-time breast surgical oncologists, practicing primarily at our central Pittsburgh campus with potential for one additional community site. Each surgeon is supported by an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The broader breast cancer program sees over 2,000 new cases annually across the full spectrum of benign and malignant breast disease, with established volume and significant potential for growth.
Early opportunities exist for leadership and program building at the hospital level. Research and educational involvement are flexible and can be tailored to the candidate's interests.

Full access to plastic and reconstructive surgery for implant-based and autologous reconstruction, nerve preservation techniques and lymphatic reconstruction ?
Screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, MRI, CEM, and image-guided biopsy ?
Medical oncology and radiation oncology through the UPMC Hillman network ?
Breast cancer risk assessment, genetics counseling, and prevention services ?
Specialized lymphedema medical care following breast cancer treatment ?
Multidisciplinary survivorship support programs
