Assistant Vice President Clinical Affairs

Scope Of Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for the medical monitoring of multiple clinical trials in all phases of study. Lead cross-functional groups to generate and implement clinical development plans and selected pipeline products. Responsible for design, execution and analysis and reporting of clinical trials both for internal and regulatory uses, including pivotal and activity-finding studies in a variety of oncologic indications.

• Provide medical monitoring for clinical trials.
• Work with biostatistics on trial design and analysis.
• Work with monitoring and contract research organizations on study conduct.
• Adhere to principles of good clinical practice.
• Work with medical writing on reports and presentations.
• Recruit and communicate with investigators.
• Make presentations at internal and external meetings.
• Provide support and advice on safety issues with candidate compounds.
• Work with discovery on relevant experimental designs for new drug candidates.
• Provide strategic input and backup to other development programs and to the drug safety group, and to support the company with external presentations at scientific and commercial meetings.

Qualifications

M.D. with >5 years experience in oncology. Excellent working knowledge of clinical oncology practice. Thorough familiarity with areas of investigation in relevant tumor types and with the regulatory landscape. Ability to manage various functional groups productively.
